“The Execution of Lady Jane Grey” is an 1833 oil painting by Paul Delaroche, now housed in the National Gallery.
The work portrays the final moments before the execution of Lady Jane Grey, who briefly reigned in 1553 before being deposed and executed.

Highly popular in the 19th century, the painting later fell out of favor and was kept in storage for decades. After its rediscovery and restoration in 1975, it regained widespread acclaim and remains one of the gallery's most visited works.
